About Katie
Katie O’Connell, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Practice Owner
Walking alongside clients on the journey of understanding themselves brings me infinite joy and fulfillment. My style is warm and compassionate, with an emphasis on collaboration, gently challenging you and the use of a touch of humor. I am passionate about meeting clients wherever they are, while using my expertise to provide guidance and information to support areas where you might feel lost or overwhelmed. I believe heavily in the power of the therapeutic relationship, and start with true curiosity in getting to know you or your child’s story.

My Background & Areas of Expertise
Over the years, I’ve supported clients through a variety of challenges including OCD, anxiety, depression, trauma, major life transitions, parent coaching, attachment, play therapy, and personality disorders. With an eclectic and holistic approach, I tailor intervention to your unique needs.
I bring experience as both a school social worker and a school-based therapist, supporting children, adolescents, and families within educational and outpatient settings. My work has focused on helping clients navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges while collaborating closely with families.
I hold a certification in ERP (Exposure Response & Prevention Therapy) for treating OCD & Complex Anxiety. ERP is the gold standard of care for treatment of OCD. Please schedule a consultation if you would like to learn more. I am passionate about building awareness and understanding of how anxiety disorders present, to work towards relief and improved quality of life.
“On average, it takes an individual with OCD 7 years from the onset of symptoms to receive a proper diagnosis and begin receiving effective treatment” - International OCD Foundation
